2017 Events & Airshows
Compared to earlier years, there weren’t a lot of events in Belgium in 2017. Beside the Spotters day in Kleine-Brogel on September 9th there wasn’t any major organization by the Belgian Air Component this year. The same rule was applied by the Royal Dutch Air Force for that matter.
Anyway, there’s hope for next year, the “Belgian Air Force Days” are announced for 8th & 9th of September 2018.
Fortunately Belgian Spotters can always rely on the yearly “Sanicole Airshow”. One of the best and greatest privately organized airshows in Western Europe. (www.sanicole.com)

Saturday & Sunday September 8th & 9th, 2018
No Sanicole Airshow this year, so they joined forces with the Belgian Air force instead. The result was more than OK. One of the eyecatchers was the Ukranian Sukhoi SU-27 "Flanker" and an Italian JSF F-35 landed on Belgian soil for the very first time.

Sanicole airfield is a private owned aeroclub with a runway who is far too small for the attended jets and teams to land and take off. So every year the participants are stationed on the military air base of Kleine-Brogel at some 15 km away. This year a Spotters day was organized on the base.
